Its only Life

Hope dealt me the worst hand
As I sit on the floor
The blood has dried on the pillow
And my wrist keeps bringing more
The world is spinning faster
The blade slides from my hand
There’s nothing that makes it easier
My body’s feeble demands
If life is laughing, I’m the joke
The soul that no-one wanted
The one that wouldn’t aspire to much
Death, so close, seems daunting.
But, I’ve decided this is for me
This is the way I’m leaving
I wanted to escape this world
Its only life I’m cheating.
